The Saudi School Athletics Team is participating in the U-15 Gymnasiade, which began in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on August 19 until August 27.
The President of the Saudi Federation for School Sports, Ali Al-Shuailan, said that the Saudi Team, which includes male and female athletes, was prepared to participate in this competition in Brazil and to represent Saudi schools in the best way, adding that the participation of female athletes in the School Olympics is the first in the history of the Kingdom.
He thanked the Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation for School Sports, Youssef Al-Benyan, for his support of school sports.
