Transport Minister Welcomes First Batch of Indian Pilgrims Arriving in Madinah


Madinah, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser received the first batch of pilgrims arriving from India today. The 283 pilgrims arrived on a Saudia Airlines flight.

Al-Jasser reiterated the transport and logistics sector’s unwavering commitment to serving pilgrims. He emphasized that this dedication stems from directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to ensure the Kingdom’s guests have a smooth and fulfilling Hajj experience, departing for their homeland with the highest standards of comfort and safety.

Elaborating on preparations, Al-Jasser highlighted the extensive resources deployed. These include 7,700 flights operating across six airports and over 27,000 buses designated to facilitate pilgrim movement throughout their spiritual journey.

Pilgrims can utilize the Haramain High-Speed Railway and the Al-Mashaaer Al-Mugaddassah Metro
Line; with over 5,000 trips during the Hajj season, pilgrims can efficiently complete their rituals.
