UAQ Department of Tourism signs agreement to develop tourism sector in the emirate

DUBAI: Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Umm Al Qaiwain Tourism and Archaeology Department, attended the signing of a cooperation agreement between the department and the Lakhraim Group, on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market 2024.

The agreement aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise in tourism, hospitality, and entertainment. Moreover, it seeks to develop tourism in the Emirate of Umm Al Qaiwain and contribute to the local economy’s growth. Recognised as a vital and sustainable tributary within the tourism sector, this initiative focuses on creating appealing tourism investment opportunities and enhancing various tourist destinations in the emirate.

By attracting visitors from around the world, the agreement involves a range of tourism initiatives, strategic plans, and infrastructure development efforts, all geared toward improving tourism services and fostering diverse experiences.

The agreement was signed by Haitham Sultan Al Ali, Director-General of the Umm Al Qai
wain Tourism and Archaeology Department, and Fahad Abdulrahim Kazim, the new CEO of Millennium Hotels and Resorts and the Lakhraim Group.
