Press conference by Health Ministry on aggression and blockade effects on health sector


The Ministry of Public Health and Population organized today,Saturday, a press conference on the effects of the aggression and blockade and its consequences on the health sector, ‘Resilience and Achievements.’

At the conference, in the presence of the Undersecretary for the Care Sector, Dr. Mohammed Al-Mansour, and the Population Sector, Dr. Najib Al-Qobati, the Ministry’s official spokesman, Dr. Anis Al-Asbahi, reviewed what had been accomplished in the health sector during nine years of steadfastness.

He touched on the most important achievements achieved by the Ministry, which included reforming the health sector through structural development, reviewing, updating and issuing laws, policies, strategies, regulations and guides, building the capacity of workers, automating the health system, providing medicines , medical supplies, and enhancing the performance of sub-units, including the Pharmaceutical Authority, the Medical Council, the Health Insurance Authority and the Medical Committee.

Dr. Al-Asbahi
pointed out that, in implementation of the directives of the Revolution Leader , Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the head of the Supreme Political Council, to provide free medical services to the poor and needy.

A program for free medical services for poor and needy families was prepared for the second phase to complete the equipping of the Heart Center and Kidney Center in the Revolution Hospital Authority, and the Oncology Center and Liver Center in the Authority. Republican Hospital and Al-Sabeen Hospital, and the establishment of the Pediatric Medicine and Surgery Center at Kuwait University Hospital, which will join the program for free medical services, phase two, with government support and with the participation of the General Authority of Zakat.

He also reviewed the construction interventions , rehabilitation activities and what was accomplished in the Yemeni Council for Medical and Health Specializations, the Medicines and Integrated Services Authority, primary health care, maternal
and newborn health, the physical therapy center, prosthetics, health system automation, evidence, standards and evaluation tools.

The Ministry of Health spokesman touched on the impact of the aggression on the health sector, the destruction of infrastructure and the victims, noting that the number of martyrs and wounded from the beginning of the aggression until March 25, 2024, who arrived at hospitals, was 49,408 civilians, including 15,752 martyrs and 33,656 injured. The number of child martyrs was three thousand and 184 martyrs and the wounded were four thousand and 714, while the number of female martyrs was three thousand , 223 women, and the injured were three thousand and 306 women.

The total number of civilian victims of disabilities reached 14,406 disabled persons, including more than 6,000 children.

He pointed out that the aggression coalition targeted 539 health and administrative facilities in 14 provinces, of which 162 health facilities were completely destroyed and 376 were partially destroye
d, which led to great pressure on the health sector, and more than 55% of health facilities were out of work, and under the siege 45%. Facilities are running minimally.

He reported that the total number of casualties among health personnel reached 69 medical and nursing personnel, including 66 martyrs, and the aggression caused the departure of approximately more than 95% of the medical personnel working in the country, the direct destruction of a medicine factory and two oxygen factories, and the targeting of 100 ambulances by bombing during their operation its medical duties.

PM reviews conference’s location final preparations of ‘Palestine is nation’s central issue’


Caretaker Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor inspected today, Saturday, the final preparations for the place and location of the second conference on ‘Palestine is the nation’s central issue,’ which is scheduled to be held during the period from (22-25) Ramadan, under the slogan ‘You are not alone.’

The Chairman of the Supreme Supervisory Committee, Dr. Bin Habtoor, along with his Deputy Chairman of the Supreme National Committee for Supporting Al-Aqsa, Muhammad Muftah, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Muhammad Al-Muaydi, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ali Sharaf Al-Din, and the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Taha Al-Sufyani, were briefed on the progress of the technical preparations for the venue for the conference, which will be held an elite group of intellectuals, politicians, free activists and scholars from Yemen and various Arab, Islamic and international countries will participate in it.

Dr. Bin Habtoor stated in a media statement following the
visit that the Supreme Supervisory Committee held its last meeting today, during which it approved and reviewed all the reports and work completed by the various technical, scientific, technical, cultural subcommittees, the level of achievement in the technical equipment for the place and location of the conference in the capital, Sana’a.

He praised the role of all the committees and personalities who contributed to the preparation of the conference, and who sought to make this great historical event a success, represented by the holding of the second scientific conference for Palestine as it is the nation’s central issue, and who continued their work throughout the day and night without getting tired or bored until they were able to accomplish everything regarding conference details.

They were accompanied during the visit by the member of the preparatory committee, Abdullah Abu Al-Rijal, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Guidance, Saleh Al-Khawlani, and a number of undersecretaries and officials.

Oil ministry discusses course of implementation of National Vision


A meeting in Sana’a chaired by the Minister of Oil and Minerals in the caretaker government, Ahmed Daris, discussed on Saturday the progress of the implementation of projects related to the national vision in the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and its affiliated units.

The meeting, which included Undersecretary Nasser Al-Aji, Assistant Undersecretary for Minerals Affairs Dr. Yahya Al-Ajam, and the ministry’s leaders, touched on aspects related to the steps to implement the vision in the field of expanding investments, exploiting mineral and oil resources, providing oil and gas derivatives, and activating the activities and tasks of the various units of the ministry.

In the meeting, Minister Daris pointed to the importance of raising the pace of completion of projects related to the national vision to build the modern Yemeni state in the oil and minerals sector, pointing to the procedures of the ministry and its units to enhance the role of the oil sector and its contribution to the national economy, by expand
ing investments and activating various units and sectors.

He stressed the need to absorb and implement the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the Supreme Political Council, within the programs and work plans of the ministry and its units, and that the projects be linked to achieving the strategic objectives of the national vision.

Minister Daris pointed to the importance of evaluating performance and determining the directions of future work for the sectors and public departments of the ministry and its units. He urged the doubling of efforts and the commitment of the units to provide the Ministry with reports related to the completion of work in real time and to achieve the desired goals.

He stressed the importance of everyone assuming responsibility with regard to the implementation of the national vision and activating the various units of the ministry to play their role to the fullest. He praised the efforts made by the leaders and cadres of the ministry and its units in this field.

Supervisory Committee of ‘Palestine is Central Nation’s Issue’ conference approves final arrangements for launching conference’s work


The Supreme Supervisory Committee of the Second Conference, ‘Palestine is the nation’s central issue,’ approved in its meeting today, Saturday, headed by the Prime Minister of the caretaker government, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, the final arrangements related to the conference scheduled to launch its work the day after tomorrow, Monday, with local, Arab, Islamic, and international participation.

The committee began its meeting by reciting Al-Fatiha for the souls of all of the honorable martyrs of the homeland and the sons of the Palestinian people, whose souls rose in defense of the right and victory for legitimate rights to dignity, independence, and defense of land and honor.

The Supreme Committee reviewed the report of the Preparatory Committee on the arrangements and preparations for the second conference, which explained that 80 scientific research and participations were accepted out of the total research and participations that were submitted to the relevant committees, including 72 from Yemen
and 8 external contributions in addition to the political contributions..

The report pointed out that most of the technical and preparation work related to the conference site had been completed, whether in aspects of communications and direct transmission of the conference proceedings or anything related to preparing the main hall in terms of audio, etc.

The Supreme Committee approved the proposal submitted by the Preparatory Committee regarding extending an invitation to representatives of the United Nations and international organizations working in Yemen, as well as representatives of the Saudi, African, Arab and Islamic communities present in Sana’a to attend the opening of the conference or participate in it.

The Supreme Committee praised all the efforts , work carried out by the Preparatory Committee , the rest of the specialized committees and their level of accomplishment of the tasks assigned to each of them.

It highly appreciated the vital cooperation provided by the ministries included in the
committee’s report and various other parties that contributed directly or indirectly to supporting the preparation process for holding the second conference, which will be held under the auspices of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council.

The Supreme Committee stressed the great importance of this conference, which comes in light of the positive and very important fundamental changes witnessed by the Palestinian issue since the beginning of Al-Aqsa Flood Battle, and what is being achieved in the course of its continuation and the escalation of its blessed and painful operations against the Zionist enemy, with effective and continuous support from the axis of resistance, especially Yemen, Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq.

Meeting discusses dairy industry localization strategy implementation


A meeting held today,Saturday, in Sana’a, headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the Internal Trade Sector, Muhammad Qatran, discussed the implementation of the national strategy for the localization of the dairy industry.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Executive Director General of the Yemeni Organization for Standardization and Metrology, Sam Al-Bashiri, and representatives of dairy industry companies, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade praised the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry and dairy industry companies in making the strategy a success and the use of locally produced milk as inputs to various food industries.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade indicated that the Ministry is opening discussition all comments of dairy producers and manufacturers in a way that contributes to enhancing local production in quantity and quality.

For his part, the Executive Director General of the Yemeni Authority for Standardi
zation, Metrology and Quality Control pointed out the importance of adhering to standard specifications in the dairy industry, pointing out the importance of continuing coordination between the authority , local producers and manufacturers to complete the process of switching milk production to animal fat.

For their part, representatives of dairy factories reviewed the steps they have taken in using locally produced milk in the dairy , food industries and the process of transitioning towards producing milk with animal fat.

They appreciated the response and cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in resolving the problems and obstacles they face.

Ramadan evening in Tahrir on Battle of Badr anniversary and Gaza’s victory in Amanat Al-Asimah


The General Mobilization , the disabled and injured of the Armed Forces in the Tahrir District in the capital secretariat held a Ramadan evening in support of Gaza and to commemorate the Great Battle of Badr, under the slogan ‘So they were not weak… with Gaza until victory.’

On the evening that witnessed the holding of a dinner for the wounded in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Municipality of the Capital, Abdul Latif Al-Omari, and the Director of the Branch of the Wounded Foundation in the Municipality, Ibrahim Zayed, the Mobilization Officer in the Directorate, Abdul Latif Al-Wali, praised the sacrifices made by the wounded in the face of the aggression.

He praised this initiative, which embodies concern for the wounded in loyalty and gratitude for the heroic epics they wrote on the fronts of defending the homeland and its sovereignty.

In turn, the wounded expressed gratitude for this generous gesture, the leadership’s interest in them, as well as the efforts of the Wounded Foundation and Gen
eral Mobilization in the Directorate in caring for them… stressing their continued steadfastness in the aggression’s face until victory is achieved.

During the evening, the Injured Foundation presented symbolic gifts to the wounded and disabled of the aggression in Tahrir District.
