Mohammed bin Rashid meets President of South Korea

DUBAI, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, today met with Yoon Suk Yeol, President of South Korea, who is on his first state visit since assuming office as President.

The meeting, held at the Za’abeel Palace, discussed the strong strategic partnership between the two countries and explored new opportunities to expand ties in various spheres.

The meeting also discussed regional and global issues and ways to expand cooperation to support the development goals of both nations, especially in the fields of investment, economy, science, culture, advanced technology, space exploration and renewable energy.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed the hope that the South Korean President’s visit to the UAE would further deepen the scope of strategic cooperation between the two countries across various areas of common interest.

Expressing his happiness at visiting the UAE, the South Korean President highlighted the growing ties between the two countries based on mutual understanding and respect and shared values.

The President of South Korea expressed the hope that relations between the UAE and his country would continue to grow in ways that serve the interests of the people of the two nations.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group; H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council; H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Mohamed Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness The Ruler’s Court of Dubai; Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Chairman of Protocols for the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE; and Abdullah Saif Ali Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to South Korea.

Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs meets UAE Ambassador

BANGKOK, Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met with Saif Abdullah Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, on the occasion of the end of his tenure as ambassador.

Al Shamsi thanked Pramudwinai for the support of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs during his tenure in Thailand and conveyed the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed relations between the UAE and Thailand, investment opportunities and joint cooperation in a number of areas including food security, infrastructure, and renewable energy.

Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan receives Assistant Secretary-General of United Nations for African Affairs

ABU DHABI, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, received Martha Pobee, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Africa, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi.

The two sides discussed ways to support stability in the region, enhance prospects for cooperation, a number of files of common interest, and ways to support development and prosperity in African countries.

UAE Ambassador meets Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation

MOSCOW, Dr. Mohammad Ahmed Al-Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, met with Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, Al-Jaber conveyed the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and delivered a letter from His Highness on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed files of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Mohammed bin Rashid receives credentials of new ambassadors to UAE

DUBAI, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received the credentials of new ambassadors to the UAE, at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, welcomed the ambassadors and wished them success in their missions to boost cooperation and friendly relations between the UAE and their respective countries.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid underscored the UAE’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields to serve the interests of the UAE and the friendly countries.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed received the credentials of Sharif Mahmoud Said, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE; Dr. Etienne Berchtold, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the UAE; Fafa Sanyang, Ambassador of the Republic of Gambia to the UAE; Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the UAE; Yoo Jehseung, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the UAE; and Elchin Bagirov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the UAE.

The ambassadors conveyed the greetings of their leaders to the UAE and its people, wishing them further progress and prosperity.

The ceremony was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and other senior officials.
