Egypt bans the export of non-Egyptian-made medicines to Libya

Tripoli, The Egyptian Customs Authority decided to export only Egyptian-made medicines to Libya through the ”Salloum” port, based on a Libyan request in this regard.

The Libyan Ministry of Finance sent a letter to the Egyptian authorities in which it requested that the concerned authorities in Egypt be contacted to release and allow only the export of medicines of Egyptian origin to Libyan territory through the Salloum port.

The Ministry indicated that this step comes in order to enhance trade exchange between the two countries and based on the agreements between Egypt and Libya in order to prevent, and deter customs violations.
