أبرز الملامح المالية والتشغيلية

ارتفعت إيرادات دار سك العملة بنسبة 81٪ في الربع الأول من عام 2021 وبلغت الأرباح المجمعة قبل ضريبة الدخل وغيرها من البنود 26.0 مليون دولار (2020 – 6.5 مليون دولار) عن هذا الربع. كما شهدت دار سك العملة ارتفاعات في الإيرادات عبر كل من أعمال المعادن الثمينة والتداول. يرجع هذا الارتفاع أساسا إلى ارتفاع أحجام السبائك المباعة في الربع، مما أدى إلى ارتفاع إيرادات سك العملة وتكلفة مبيعاتها بشكل متناسب. تحسنت نسبة هامش ربح سك العملة 1.6٪ على أساس ربع سنوي ويرجع ذلك أساسًا إلى الأداء القوي لمبيعات منتجات العملات والعملات الأجنبية المتداولة في عام 2021.
ارتفعت الإيرادات الموحدة إلى 902.8 مليون دولار في العام 2021 (2020 – 498.4 مليون دولار).
وارتفعت الإيرادات من أعمال المعادن الثمينة إلى 852 مليون دولار في عام 2021 (2020- 465.2 مليون دولار):
- o ارتفعت أحجام مبيعات سبائك الذهب بأكثر من 65% على أساس سنوي وبلغت 328.5 ألف أوقية (2020 – 198.1 ألف أوقية) بينما ارتفعت أحجام سبائك الفضة 52% وبلغت 9.9 مليون أوقية (2020 – 6.6 مليون أوقية).
- o وارتفعت مبيعات المنتجات من العملات إلى 31.5 مليون دولار في عام 2021 (2020 – 21.3 مليون دولار) نتيجة لارتفاع مبيعات منتجات الذهب في عام 2021 والتعليق المؤقت، في عام 2020، لإنتاج المنتجات النقدية نتيجة لجائحة كوفيد-19.

وارتفعت الإيرادات من أعمال التدوير إلى 50.8 مليون دولار في عام 2021 (2020 – 33.1 مليون دولار):

كما ارتفعت الإيرادات من أعمال التداول الأجنبي بنسبة 162٪ على أساس ربع سنوي مع إنتاج وشحن 319 مليون قطعة نقدية وفراغات أجنبية، مقارنة بـ 265 مليون عملة معدنية في عام 2020.
بلغت العملات المتداولة الكندية التي تم إنتاجها وبيعها إلى وزارة المالية للمخزون 77 مليون قطعة في الربع (2020 – 76 مليون قطعة).

بشكل عام، ارتفعت المصاريف التشغيلية بنسبة 15٪ على أساس ربع سنوي لتصل إلى 25.6 مليون دولار أمريكي، ويرجع ذلك أساسًا إلى التخطيط للاستشارات وتكاليف القوى العاملة الطارئة المتعلقة بتنفيذ مبادرات تحويل الأعمال في دار سك النقود.

Seegene introduces an exclusive diagnostic system for diagnosing COVID-19 variants at ECCMID

SEOUL, Korea, May 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Seegene Inc. (KQ 096530), a biotechnology firm specializing in molecular diagnostics has once again been recognized for its unique system for diagnosing COVID-19 variants at this year’s European Congress of Clinical Microbiology, the ECCMID.

Seegene’s Dr. Guy Willem Lee, Director of Marketing Strategy introduced the diagnostic system under the theme of “SARS-CoV-2 and Variants ‘Full Screening’ Solution” using its latest COVID-19 variant diagnostic tests. “The backdrop of Korea’s outstanding control at the onset of the pandemic is because of the one-platform diagnostic system that enables mass testing,” said Lee. He added that “the system enabled the diagnostic process from sample collection through PCR testing all at once, helping local authorities to quickly control the pandemic.”

The effectiveness of the current diagnostic system, however had been put to question due to a growing number of COVID-19 variants spreading fast, with reports saying vaccines may not offer enough protection against them. The Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention have previously said variants are poised to drive an increase in new cases in the U.S. in May after having projected that the global COVID-19 cases will sharply increase over the continuous surge in variants.

Referring to Seegene’s ‘Full Screening Solution,’ Director Lee proposed that the system will efficiently help counter the protracted COVID-19 pandemic. The ‘Full Screening Solution’ is a one-step system that can verify whether an individual has contracted coronavirus wildtype or the virus variant with a single real-time PCR test. Currently, health authorities are forced to go through an extra round of genomic sequencing to distinguish the existence of COVID-19 variants after standard PCR tests, automatically leading to a more prolonged testing time.

Against the backdrop of Seegene’s ‘Full Screening Solution’ are the company’s latest variant diagnostic tests, the Allplex^TM SARS-CoV-2 Master Assay and Allplex^TM SARS-CoV-2 Variants I Assay. UAE and Iraq Discuss Youth Cooperation

Dubai, Shamma Al-Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Vice President of the Arab Youth Center, received at the Abu Dhabi Youth Center, Adnan Darjal, Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports, during his visit to the center located on Corniche Street in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by the Iraqi ambassador to Abu Dhabi Muzaffar Mustafa Al-Jubouri.

Shamma Al Mazrouei presented the delegation with a comprehensive presentation of the Emirati model for investing in youth energy, which focuses on empowerment, engagement, capacity-building, skills acquisition, providing an incubating environment for creativity, and how to benefit from it in the Arab world to advance the reality and future of youth.

DMCC has collaboratively developed a solid, progressive and supportive regulatory environment for crypto firms operating in Dubai. Activities conducted within the Free Zone that include the exchange of crypto assets will be regulated by the UAE’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). Crypto firms will also benefit from DMCC’s business regulatory framework, which increases the ease of doing business whilst upholding robust governance and transparency.

DMCC has a strong track record of using cryptographic and distributed ledger technologies, with their blockchain-enabled agri commodities trading platform, Agriota, connecting farmers in India with consumers in the UAE, and the DigitalSugar platform utilising blockchain for the international trading of sugar.

In March, DMCC entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the SCA to establish a regulatory framework for businesses offering, issuing, listing, and trading crypto assets in DMCC.

DMCC signed an agreement with CV Labs and CV VC in 2020 to support the development of a leading crypto ecosystem in Dubai. In February 2021, DMCC’s Executive Chairman and CEO, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, became a member of CV VC’s advisory board.
