RAK Ruler receives Hungarian Ambassador


RAS AL KHAIMAH: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today received Karoly Benes, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to the UAE.

The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah welcomed the ambassador and wished him success in performing his duties and bolstering UAE-Hungary ties across various fields.

For his part, Benes expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Saud for the warm hospitality, lauding the strong ties their countries share.

UAE Ambassador presents credentials to King of Bahrain


MANAMA: Fahad Mohammed Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri presented his credentials as UAE Ambassador to Bahrain to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Al Ameri conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, to His Majesty, along with their wishes for further development and prosperity for the government and people of Bahrain.

For his part, His Majesty King Hamad conveyed his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and expressed his wishes for furth
er development and growth for the government and people of the UAE.

His Majesty also wished the Ambassador success in his work to enhance bilateral relations in various fields between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing his country’s readiness to provide all possible support to facilitate his duties.

For his part, Al Ameri expressed his pride in representing the UAE in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and highlighted his keenness to enhance cooperation across various sectors, which contributes to consolidating fraternity ties between both nations.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of cooperation between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and discussed ways of developing them to achieve the interests and aspirations of both countries and their peoples.

UAE sends additional medical aid to Gaza


RAFAH: The Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian operation announced the entry of 10 fully-equipped ambulances into the Gaza Strip through the Egyptian Rafah crossing, as part of the UAE’s efforts to meet the requirements of the health sector in Gaza.

The UAE’s swift action comes in response to the urgent need for ambulances after most of the vehicles operating in the Gaza Strip to transport wounded and injured residents of Gaza were damaged.

These vehicles will serve the Emirati field hospital and other health facilities to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and support the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip, which faces rising challenges.

The aid provided by the United Arab Emirates through the Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian operation amounted to more than 10,575 tonnes, with 435 land trucks and shiploads sent, in addition to 154 cargo planes. The number of cases received by the field hospital in Gaza reached 3,902. The UAE has also established 6 water desalination plants with a production capacit
y of 1.2 million gallons per day, directly benefiting the residents of Gaza.

UAE condemns terrorist attack in Trkiye


ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Istanbul, Trkiye, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries to innocent people.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed the UAE’s support for all efforts by the Turkish government to apprehend those responsible for this terrorist act, as well as for all the measures implemented by Trkiye to protect its security and stability.

Furthermore, the Ministry expressed the UAE’s strong condemnation of these criminal acts, and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability in contravention of international law.The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Trkiye, and to the families of the victims of this heinous crime, as well as its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured.
