DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Feb. 23, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Karate Combat, the world’s premier full-contact professional striking league, has partnered with Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Sports Council (DSC) to bring Karate Combat 46 (KC46) to the emirate this spring.

Expected to be the league’s biggest event to date, KC46 is collaborating with TOKEN2049 for a Saturday 20 April event. As part of the collaboration KC46 will be part of the official programme of TOKEN2049 Week Dubai, giving conference attendees the opportunity to witness one of the world’s most innovative sports leagues through special tickets and the opportunity to meet event ambassadors at the conference. KC46 will be announced by UFC Hall of Famers Georges St-Pierre (GSP) and Bas Rutten, alongside Mike Majlak, author and co-host of the Impaulsive podcast.

Karate Combat is the first professional sports league governed and gamified by a token, the $KARATE token. KC46 will be held during TOKEN2049 Week, the largest Web3 gathering in the emirate, which will bring together 15,000+ members of the global crypto community. Every fan can participate in the league by downloading Karate Combat’s iOS and Android apps.

In the week leading up to KC46, the league plans to hold special events at the city’s most iconic landmarks, including a fighters’ press conference featuring the Museum of the Future and face-offs in front of the Dubai Frame. Oil Deputy Minister inspects Ras Issa Gas Port facility in Hodeida


Deputy Minister of Oil , Minerals and Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, inspected Ras Issa gas facility in Hodeida province.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Oil was briefed on the progress of the process of pumping gas from the ship (SMS Bruce) and the level of performance in the facility.

He met the employees , workers and listened to an explanation of the progress of work from them.

Al-Wahidi praised the efforts of the Yemen Gas Company employees working in the Ras Issa port facilities and their dedication to performing their work to serve the nation and citizens in light of the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through.

For their part, the facility’s employees expressed their satisfaction with this visit, its importance, and its great positive impact in raising the morale of all workers in Ras Issa Port, stressing that they will make their utmost efforts to carry out the tasks assigned to them and in a way that contributes to serving the ci
tizens.

Al-Wahidi also reviewed the safety of the procedures for selling and distributing gas cylinders in a number of central stations and car companies in Hajjah and Hodeida provinces.

He urged central station officials to commit to following the programs and policies issued by the company in a way that serves its programs and directions in continuing to provide gas to citizens.

He was accompanied during the visit by the director of the company’s comprehensive quality department, Amin Al-Shabati, and the director of legal affairs, Majed Al-Kouli.

Military march for special forces unit from Sana’a to Hodeida


A symbolic unit of the armed forces’ special units carried out the “Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad” march.

The unit participating in the military march traveled about 200 kilometers, starting from the capital, Sana’a, through Al Mahwet province, reaching the military parade platform in Hodeida province on the Red Sea coast.

The march, which came within the framework of increasing combat readiness and in solidarity with the Palestinians, continued for six consecutive days, and the weight of individual equipment reached about 35 kilograms.

The military march embodied the advanced level reached by the participating force , the training and qualifications it received to carry out the tasks assigned to it.

The participants in the military march confirmed the readiness of the special units to implement the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council regarding any options to support the Palestinians and respond to the American-British aggression.

Societal issues in Al-Sud and Habur Zulaymah districts in Amran discussed


A meeting in Amran province on Saturday, chaired by Deputy Governor Muhammad Al-Mutawakel, discussed societal issues in the districts of Al-Sud and Habur Zulaymah.

The meeting, which was attended by a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council and local and community leaders, touched on the importance of strengthening brotherly and community ties and resolving disputes and outstanding issues between the people of the two districts.

During the meeting, Undersecretary Al-Mutawakel confirmed that all the problems and contentious issues that arose between a number of parties in the two districts were resolved and ended, a comprehensive and complete general reconciliation was declared, and the cases of contentious disputes and their causes that are due to land problems were ended and ended.

He stressed on everyone not to infringe in any way on the other and whoever had the right to resort to the judiciary.

Distribution five thousand coffee seedlings in Jabal Ras District in Hodeida


The General Authority for the Development of Tehama launched today,Saturday, the distribution of five thousand coffee seedlings to a number of farmers in Jabal Ras District in Hodeida province, under the auspices of the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, as part of the activities of the National Day for Yemeni Coffee Cultivation.

At the inauguration, the provunce’s Undersecretary for Services Affairs, Muhammad Halisi, praised this step to plant coffee seedlings in farmers’ fields in Jabal Ras District, due to its characteristics and a suitable climate for growing this type of cash crop, within the framework of trends aimed at encouraging farmers.

Halisi and Hazza urged farmers to contribute to achieving agricultural development and to benefit from these seedlings in planting a large area of coffee trees, to activate the agricultural front, confront economic challenges, and transform Yemen from a consuming country into a source of various agricultural crops.
