Yemen’s Health says US-UK aggression kills one person, injures eight others on raids on Capital, provinces


At least one person has been killed and eight others injured in the US-UK aggression on the capital Sana’a and other Yemen’s provinces.

In returns, the Ministry of Public Health of and Population of Yemen has condemned the American-British aggression’s targeting of citizens and civilian objects in the capital Sana’a, and a number of Yemeni governorates .

The ministry explained in a statement that these raids led to the death of a citizen and the injury of eight.

It pointed out that the raids of the American-British aggression on Maqbana district in Taiz province led to the martyrdom of a citizen and the injury of six others.

The ministry confirmed that two citizens were injured in the aggression’s raids on al-Nahda neighborhood in al-Thawra district in the capital Sana’a.

The ministry statement stated that America and Britain’s targeting of civilians in Yemen is an extension of their crimes in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

NCM issues report on weather condition for period from 28th February to 1st March

ABU DHABI: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued the weather report for the period from Wednesday, 28th February 2024, to Friday, 1st March 2024.

The report said that the country will be affected by a surface low-pressure system from the Southwest, and an extension of an upper-air low-pressure system, accompanied by a western Jetstream with different amounts of clouds flowing from the West at intervals.

The weather on Wednesday and Thursday will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times over scattered areas of the country, with a chance of light to moderate rainfall in general and heavy at times over some areas especially northern, eastern, and southern areas. Then the Western areas of the country will be affected by fresh to strong at times North-westerly winds. From Thursday noon time, temperatures will decrease, and the amount of clouds will gradually decrease by Thursday night.

As for the weather on Friday, clouds will appear over some Eastern areas and may be convective with a chance of rainfall d
uring the daytime.

Wind will be light South-easterly gradually becoming North-westerly on Thursday noon time moderate to fresh and strong especially over the sea and with clouds, causing blowing dust and sand.

The Sea will be moderate becoming rough to very rough at times on Thursday in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate and rough by Thursday night in Oman Sea.

Gaza Health Ministry reports 90 deaths in 24 hours

Amman: The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said Monday Israeli occupation forces carried out 10 massacres against families and civilians in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, which left 90 people dead and injured 164 others.

The latest victims raised to 29,782 the death toll since Israel launched the war on October 7, and the number of injured climbed to 70,043, the ministry said in its daily update

It highlighted challenges facing rescue teams as Israeli troops continued to bar paramedics from reaching victims trapped under rubble or bodies on the streets.

Hamdan bin Mohammed reviews progress of Al Fahidi Fort Rehabilitation Project

DUBAI: In alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to safeguard the nation’s cultural legacy, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, reviewed the progress of the ongoing Al Fahidi Fort Rehabilitation Project.

In a meeting attended by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and Member of the Dubai Council, Sheikh Hamdan approved the vision and final design of the Al Fahidi Fort Rehabilitation Project.

The update, dedicated to safeguarding the iconic monument’s rich heritage and history, focused on Dubai Culture’s initiative to develop the content, architecture, exhibition design, and branding for the project initiated by Sheikh Hamdan in 2021.

Sheikh Hamdan said, ‘The rehabilitation project highlights our commitment to safeguarding Dubai’s heritage and showcase
s our efforts to blend the richness of our history with the dynamism of our future. Guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and through thoughtful design and visionary planning, we aspire to create an immersive experience that honours our historical legacy and invites the world to discover the timeless stories of our land. The preservation and protection of these invaluable assets is an integral part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, which lays out the blueprint for Dubai’s sustainable urban development in line with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s vision to transform Dubai into the world’s best city to live in.’

Sheikh Hamdan received extensive updates on the components of the Al Fahidi Fort Rehabilitation Project including improvements to accessibility and traffic management around the Al Fahidi Fort, infrastructural upgrades aimed at respecting the area’s historical significance, enhancements to public spaces near the
Fort and associated amenities, all aimed at elevating the visitor experience within the area that is a key part of Dubai’s history and cultural heritage.

ASE Sees Marginal Decline in Trading Activity

Amman: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) concluded trading on Monday with approximately 3.3 million shares exchanged through 2,571 transactions, totaling about JD4 million.

The stock index experienced a marginal decline, closing at 2,465 points, down by 0.01 percent from the previous session.

Analysis of closing prices revealed that 35 companies saw an uptick in their share prices, while 28 witnessed a decrease. Share prices of 33 companies remained unchanged.
